Organic, Cold-processed Soap- by Sonoran Rain

At Sonoran Rain Soaps & Skincare, our goal is to source ingredients that come from mother nature because we believe what you put on your body is just as important as what you put into your body. As such, it is our goal to provide you with soaps and skincare products made from 100% natural, high-quality ingredients. All soaps are colored with natural, mineral-rich clays and botanicals. We never use synthetic dyes or micas to color our soaps. We also avoid the use of synthetic fragrances opting for high-quality essential oils instead. 
We make soaps from scratch using the old-fashioned cold process method. Soaps are all handmade, hand poured, and hand cut in small batches right here in Tucson, AZ sourcing the highest quality ingredients possible including all organic, virgin, unrefined, cold-pressed oils and butters to include: extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, fair trade cocoa butter, shea butter, avocado oil, and castor oil. 

WHY PALM OIL FREE?

Palm oil is a very common oil in soap making, but the production of palm oil has played a significant role in the destruction and deforestation of some of the world's most biodiverse ecosystems leading to the destruction of habitat for many endangered species to include the orangutan, pygmy elephant, and the Sumatran rhino. For this reason, we have been dedicated to making our soaps palm oil free from day one.

SOAP CARE:

To extend the life of your bar, keep your soap on a well-draining soap dish allowing it to dry out in between uses. Do not leave your soap sitting in a pool of water or directly in the stream of the shower as this will greatly reduce the life of your bar. 

GIVING BACK

At Sonoran Rain Soaps & Skincare, we are dedicated to giving back. Many of the decorative fruits you see atop your soaps were harvested right here in Tucson, Arizona by Iskashitaa Refugee Network (an organization that Christina, owner of  SRS&S, volunteers with). As such, a portion of these soap sales is donated to this nonprofit. Iskashitaa Refugee Network "creates opportunities to integrate UN refugees into the Southern Arizona community while educating the public and strengthening the local food system, reducing local food waste, and increasing food security."
